Conclusion
For five years, the CCTS has been promoting and monitoring compliance of PSPs with the rules and requirements set out in the Procedural Code and Public Awareness Plan. The primary focus is to engage and educate PSPs in order to promote a better understanding of the requirements, and the reasons for them. When there is non-compliance, the CCTS works individually with PSPs. Most PSPs are ready to work with us when we raise non-compliance issues and there is generally a high level of PSP engagement. The CCTS appreciates the level of cooperation and engagement with PSPs and will continue seeking opportunities to regularly engage on compliance issues.
In certain situations, the CCTS’ efforts to engage and educate PSPs about the rules are unsuccessful and we then take action to enforce the rules. The CCTS relies on measures such as naming PSPs that are non-compliant (for example on our website and in the annual Compliance Monitoring Report).
The CCTS will continue its work to ensure greater compliance with our rules and complaints handling process. The CCTS intends to focus on engaging with PSPs to ensure increased compliance with the Procedural Code as well as Public Awareness requirements. We will continue to refine our processes to monitor and promote greater understanding of these requirements.
